UPDATE: June 7, 2021 – The draft rule has been submitted to the Thoroughbred Racing Association’s 2050 Technology Technical Committee scheduled to meet June 24, 2021. Input received may be incorporated into the draft rule and could be ready for discussion at the July Model Rules Committee meeting.
The ARCI Pari-Mutuel Auditors Committee is working on a rewrite of ARCI-004-105 (G) – Pick-(n) Pools.
A discussion proposal was put forth by Steve May of the Minnesota Racing Commission and discussed by the ARCI Pari-Mutuel Auditors Committee on February 2, 2021. The draft reflects the work effort of staff from several commissions and the Canadian CPMA as well as Churchill Downs.
A second meeting of the Pari-Mutuel Auditors Committee took place on March 31, 2021 to consider input from regulatory members. It was determined at that meeting to obtain further input from racetracks and tote companies and bettors before the committee forwards a revision to the Model Rules Committee for consideration in July. The draft revisions are being circulated to the Thoroughbred Racing Association’s (TRA) 2050 Committee, which is expected to meet in June, 2021.
